Account Deletion Policy

This page explains how to delete your Voxbrief account and what happens to your data when you do.

How to Delete Your Account

Option 1: In the App (Recommended)

Open the Voxbrief app.
Tap your profile icon (top-right corner of the home screen).
Scroll down and tap Delete account.
Review what will be deleted and tap Delete my account.
Confirm in the system prompt.

Your account will be deactivated immediately.

Option 2: By Email

If you are unable to access the App, you can request account deletion by emailing us at support@getvoxbrief.com from the email address associated with your account.

Please include the subject line: "Account Deletion Request."

We will process your request within 45 days as required by applicable law.

What Happens When You Delete Your Account

Immediately Upon Deletion

Your account is deactivated and you are signed out of the App.
You will lose access to all paid content, even if your subscription has not yet expired.
Your wish list and listening history will no longer be accessible.
You will be removed from all email communications.

Within 30 Days

All personal data associated with your account is permanently deleted from our servers, including:
- Your email address and name
- Sign-in provider information (Apple ID or Google ID association)
- Wish list and listening history
- Search history
- Redemption code records linked to your account

What We Retain (Anonymized)

For legal, financial, and fraud-prevention purposes, we may retain the following in anonymized form (not linked to your identity):

Transaction records (required for tax and financial compliance, retained up to 7 years).
Aggregated, anonymized usage statistics.

Active Subscription Warning

If you have an active subscription when you delete your account:

Your subscription access will end immediately. You will not be able to use the remaining time on your plan.
No refund will be issued for unused subscription time through the account deletion process.
If you wish to request a refund before deleting your account, please visit reportaproblem.apple.com (all purchases are processed by Apple).

30-Day Recovery Window

We provide a 30-day recovery window after account deletion. During this period:

Your data has not yet been permanently deleted.
If you contact us at support@getvoxbrief.com within 30 days, we can restore your account and data.
After 30 days, deletion is permanent and irreversible.

Re-Registration After Deletion

After your account has been permanently deleted:

You may create a new account using the same email address or sign-in method.
The new account will be a fresh start — your previous listening history, wish list, and subscription will not be restored.

For Apple Sign In Users

If you signed in with Apple, deleting your Voxbrief account will also revoke the connection between your Apple ID and Voxbrief. You can also manage your Apple Sign In connections at any time in iOS Settings → [Your Name] → Sign-In & Security → Sign in with Apple.
