Elizabeth Hardinger is a Pushcart Prize-nominated writer and the award-winning author of All the Forgivenesses, which received the 2021 PEN/Bellwether Prize for Socially Engaged Fiction. A former speech-language pathologist, she spent years working in rural Appalachia, gaining intimate knowledge of the region and its people. This deep immersion and her own family’s history in the Ozarks inspired her powerful exploration of one woman's resilience against the formidable backdrop of the Kentucky coal camps.
